Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammed Al Gergawi marked a significant milestone with the unveiling of the “Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme” and the “Five Million Uzbek AI Prompt Engineers Initiative.” These groundbreaking initiatives were revealed at the Uzbekistan Zero Bureaucracy Forum and Uzbekistan Artificial Intelligence Forum held in Tashkent, facilitated by collaborative efforts between the UAE and Uzbekistan as part of their evolving strategic alliance.
The forums gathered a mix of ministers, officials, and specialists from both nations to exchange insights on optimizing governmental efficiency and harnessing artificial intelligence within public administration. Showcasing the UAE's achievements in minimizing bureaucratic hurdles and enhancing government services served as a blueprint for Uzbekistan's Zero Bureaucracy Programme, which aims to streamline administrative workflows and curtail excessive documentation while augmenting the speed and effectiveness of public services.
The discussions at the Zero Bureaucracy Forum underscored that alleviating administrative complexities is vital for enhancing citizen experiences, fostering innovation within government entities, and contributing to both economic and social advancement. By embracing contemporary methodologies, Uzbekistan aspires to elevate governmental efficiency and meet its developmental aspirations.
During the Artificial Intelligence Forum, the “Five Million Uzbek AI Prompt Engineers Initiative” was launched, which plans to equip five million individuals with AI prompt engineering capabilities over the next three years. This initiative aims to cultivate a proficient workforce, stimulate innovation, and speed up economic progress through technology and AI-focused solutions. UAE and Uzbek representatives exchanged insights into the incorporation of AI in education, public services, and other essential domains. Engaging sessions also contemplated AI's potential in personalized learning, skill enhancement, and pioneering solutions for governmental services.
The collaborative journey between the UAE and Uzbekistan in governmental modernization started in 2019 and has significantly progressed. A six-year partnership renewal was signed in 2021, enhancing cooperation across multiple fields like digital evolution, leadership training, industrial advancement, social betterment, healthcare, statistics, and urban development. Such synergies further align with Uzbekistan's Vision 2040, enabling the nation to adopt global standards in governance, technology, and education.
Both forums emphasized the need for innovative methodologies and the utilization of global expertise. The UAE shared its experience in boosting citizen satisfaction, streamlining government frameworks, and employing technology to revamp services. These joint ventures aim to upskill government personnel, instigate digital advancements, and establish Uzbekistan as a vanguard in effective administration and AI integration.
The inauguration of these initiatives symbolizes the robust ties between the UAE and Uzbekistan in reshaping governmental operations, fostering sustainable growth, and equipping the nation for upcoming challenges. The Zero Bureaucracy Programme and AI skill development initiative are anticipated to yield enduring enhancements in public services, elevate citizen satisfaction, and drive economic progress, representing a significant leap in Uzbekistan's digital and administrative evolution.
