The goal of the partnership is to use advanced technology to make communities safer, improve security, and make things run more smoothly. The UAE and Malaysia will continue working together in many areas, like improving security systems, setting up powerful computer centers, improving how taxes are collected, and making work processes more efficient.
The agreement was signed by His Excellency Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, the UAE Minister of Investment, and His Excellency Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, Malaysia’s Minister of Home Affairs.
During the meeting, leaders talked about how to improve the political and business relationship between the UAE and Malaysia. They also discussed using new technologies to help people live better lives.
His Excellency Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi said, “Our cooperation with Malaysia shows how strong our relationship is. This agreement will help both countries use technology to improve people’s lives and create better communities. We are excited about the long-term benefits this partnership will bring to both nations.”
His Excellency Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said, “This partnership is important for Malaysia as we want to be a leader in using new technologies. By working with the UAE, we can solve problems like public safety and make things run more smoothly. The UAE’s knowledge and experience will make our work even stronger. We look forward to what we will achieve together.”
The agreement builds on the growth of business ties between the two countries, which have been improving in recent years. In the first half of 2024, the trade between the UAE and Malaysia reached USD 2.5 billion, showing a 7% increase from 2023.
Malaysia is the UAE’s 12th-largest trading partner in Asia, and the UAE is Malaysia’s second-largest partner in the Arab world, making up 32% of Malaysia’s trade with the region.
This agreement is an important step in strengthening the relationship between the UAE and Malaysia, focusing on improving technology and helping both countries grow in the future.
