A drone strike carried out during an Israeli military operation in the West Bank city of Tulkarm on Thursday resulted in the deaths of three Palestinians, according to the Palestinian health ministry. The strike targeted the Tulkarm refugee camp, a densely populated area where many residents are descendants of those displaced during the 1948 Middle East conflict.
The Israeli military reported that the operation focused on armed militants and involved troops working to uncover and neutralize improvised explosive devices buried along the roads. The military's statement indicated that they faced gunfire and explosions throughout the morning as they conducted their operations. Residents of Tulkarm reported hearing sustained gunfire and explosions during this period.
There has been no immediate claim from any Palestinian armed factions regarding the identities or affiliations of the three individuals killed in the drone strike.

The situation in the West Bank has become increasingly tense since the escalation of the Gaza conflict last year. Israeli forces have intensified their operations against militant groups such as Hamas and the Iran-backed Islamic Jihad. These operations have led to a significant rise in clashes, resulting in over 600 Palestinian deaths, including both armed militants and civilians. In contrast, more than a dozen Israelis have been killed by Palestinians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem during the same period.
In a related development, Palestinian media reported that a Palestinian man killed in Tel Aviv last week—while allegedly planning a bombing attack—was identified by Israeli security authorities as a resident of Nablus, another city frequently affected by violence.
