The Gulf Cooperation Council reaffirms its support for Lebanon.

The Gulf Cooperation Council convened to discuss the latest regional developments. During this meeting, the council condemned the escalation of conflict in both Lebanon and the occupied Palestinian territories. It called on all parties involved to exercise self-restraint and avoid violence, as stated in their official communiqué.

According to Lebanese government statistics, over 1,900 people have died and more than 9,000 have been injured in Lebanon due to nearly a year of cross-border fighting between Israel and the Iranian-backed Hezbollah. A significant portion of these casualties occurred in the last two weeks.

In the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military offensive has resulted in more than 41,000 Palestinian deaths since October 7, when Hamas militants launched an incursion into Israel, leading to the deaths of approximately 1,200 individuals and the abduction of around 250 hostages, as reported by health authorities in both Israel and Gaza.
