On Tuesday evening, Iran launched around 200 missiles into Israel, significantly escalating the long-standing conflict between Israel, Iran, and its Arab allies. In the midst of this attack, a chilling video reportedly filmed from a British Airways flight near Israel has surfaced, capturing the dramatic moment as missiles streaked across the night sky. The footage, which shows a glowing orange trail cutting through the darkness, suggests that Iran did not confirm that airspace was clear before initiating the missile barrage. The video, according to the *New York Post*, was taken by the pilot of a Dubai-bound British Airways flight.

The footage reveals several missiles, appearing like orange fireballs, flying in quick succession across the sky. This chaotic scene prompted airlines to scramble in an effort to divert flights from the volatile Middle East region. Iran’s unexpected salvo of ballistic missiles targeting Israel came without any prior warning, forcing a rapid response from airlines and air traffic controllers. According to a spokesperson for the flight tracking service FlightRadar24, flights were diverted to “anywhere they could,” as reported by *Reuters*.

Approximately 80 flights, operated by major carriers like Emirates, British Airways, Lufthansa, and Qatar Airways, were rerouted to destinations such as Cairo and various European cities. The missile strike also led to the immediate suspension of flights in and out of airports across several countries, including Iran, Israel, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, and Syria. However, both Iraq and Jordan eventually reopened their airspace to civilian flights, restoring some measure of normalcy in the region.

Shortly after the missile strike on Israel, Iran issued a stern warning, threatening “crushing attacks” if Israel chose to retaliate. According to Iranian officials, the missile strike was described as “entirely defensive,” framed as a response to Israel's targeted killings of militant leaders and recent strikes in Lebanon. Despite Iran’s defensive claims, Israel responded defiantly, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowing that Israel would retaliate for the attack “at the time and place of its choosing.” Netanyahu also dismissed the missile strike as a failure, warning that Iran would soon face severe consequences, much like Israel's enemies in Gaza, Lebanon, and other regions have experienced in the past.
