Iyer credits his success to disciplined practice and embracing challenges. “During the Champions Trophy, I took it ball by ball, built pressure gradually, and focused on getting the team to a competitive total. Facing tough bowlers repeatedly helped me gain confidence against short-pitched deliveries,” he reflected.

This year, Iyer has maintained outstanding form in ODIs, scoring 424 runs in eight innings at an average of 53, including four fifties and a strike rate of 93.59. With an upcoming series against Australia starting October 19, he looks poised to continue his fine run and cement his place as a key player in India’s white-ball setup.
