Shraddha Kapoor has finally addressed the concerns that erupted online after reports on 22 November suggested she had been injured during the shoot of her upcoming film Eetha. The actor clarified the situation through a candid interaction with her fans on Instagram, confirming that she has suffered a muscle tear but is expected to recover with rest. Her update came after days of speculation, especially since no official statement had been released from the film’s team.

During an Ask Me Anything session on Instagram, Shraddha responded to a fan who asked about her injury. She shared a short video, showing her left leg supported with a plaster, yet maintaining her trademark humor. She joked that she has been “roaming around like a terminator,” explaining that the injury, although painful, was simply a muscle tear and not something more serious. She assured fans that rest and medical care were enough to help her heal, and that she would return to work soon.

Along with her health update, Shraddha also spoke about her ongoing and upcoming film projects. She revealed that she has completed one film whose announcement is still under wraps, preventing her from revealing details. However, she confirmed that she is currently shooting for Eetha, a film directed by her boyfriend, filmmaker Rahul Mody. Shraddha described Eetha as a story rooted in the world of start-ups, capturing the modern-day pressure and constant hustle associated with that environment. She called the project a fresh creative territory for her, saying she is consciously choosing roles that challenge her as an actor and allow her to portray characters with depth and agency. According to her, she is now taking time to evaluate scripts carefully, preferring roles that push her beyond her comfort zone.

A source from the film's production offered insight into how the injury happened. Shraddha was filming a Lavani dance sequence for the film—a demanding folk dance form known for its energetic footwork, swift spins, and constant rhythm-driven movements. The track, composed by the celebrated music duo Ajay–Atul, required her to perform a series of rapid, uninterrupted steps to the beats of the dholki. For the sequence, she was dressed in a traditional and heavy Nauvari saree, complete with ornate jewellery and a kamarpatta, all of which added weight and limited mobility during the performance.

In preparation for the role of a young Vithabai, Shraddha had reportedly put on over 15 kilos to match the authenticity required by the character. The combination of the intense choreography, heavy attire, and sudden weight shift led to the mishap. During one of the fast-paced steps, she unintentionally placed her full weight on her left foot. The imbalance caused her to lose footing, resulting in the muscle tear that has now temporarily halted her shoot schedule.

Despite the injury, those close to the production say Shraddha has remained positive and determined. The film team is currently adjusting the schedule to ensure she has enough time to recover without pressure. Medical experts advising her have suggested adequate rest, limited movement, and physiotherapy. The actor, known for her disciplined routine and commitment to her roles, is already following the recommended recovery plan while engaging with fans online to keep them updated.

Shraddha’s openness about her injury and her thoughtful insights into her career choices have been widely appreciated by fans. Her supporters have flooded her social media with messages wishing her a swift recovery and expressing excitement for Eetha, which marks a new phase in her career—both for its unique theme and her evolving approach to storytelling and performance.
