Under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs, a special graduation was held for high school students in Abu Dhabi. The Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET) organised this event for 1,494 students from Applied Technology Schools in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra for the academic year 2024–2025. The ceremony took place at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi.

His Highness Sheikh Theyab attended the ceremony and honoured 57 top students who scored more than 98 percent in their exams. This was done to recognise their hard work and excellent results.

His Excellency Dr Mubarak Saeed Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Institute of Applied Technology and Director General of ACTVET, thanked His Highness for his support and presence at the event. He said that such achievements are only possible because of the continuous support from the UAE’s wise leadership, who always focus on empowering young people. He also shared his pride and happiness in seeing such talented students graduate. He said that ACTVET is committed to preparing strong national generations who can help in the UAE’s development across all important fields.

During the ceremony, a video was shown where students shared their experiences and best moments during their studies at the Applied Technology Schools. The event also included the national loyalty oath and a touching speech from the graduates, where they thanked the country’s leaders and shared their dreams for the future.

A proud moment was also shared during the event. The Applied Technology School in Umm Al Quwain was named among the top 10 schools in the world for Innovation in the World’s Best School Prizes 2025, organised by T4 Education. This shows the UAE’s strong position in technical and vocational education and its focus on promoting innovation in schools, proving that the country is a leader in modern education worldwide.

The Applied Technology Schools in the UAE offer students advanced learning in three main streams: the Advanced Science Program, the Advanced Stream, and the General Stream. These streams help students follow their interests and prepare for careers in fields like engineering, health sciences, computing, artificial intelligence, and engineering maintenance. This makes them ready to support the UAE’s national development plans in the future.
