Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Honored with Golden Medal

His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, has been awarded the Golden Medal of Honour by the European Royal Academy in Spain. This award is given in recognition of his outstanding leadership and the great contributions he has made to education, along with his charitable work that has helped advance education and scientific research.

The Golden Medal of Honour is the highest award given by the European Royal Academy, which was founded in 1914 by the King of Spain. Over its long history, only four leaders have received this prestigious medal. These leaders include Dr. Rosalía Arteaga, who was the former President of Ecuador (2016), Dr. Luis Alberto Lacalle, the former President of Uruguay (2017), and Dilma Rousseff, the former President of Brazil (2018).
