Sheikh Mohammed Marks 10 Years of Dubai Business Associates Program

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, recently met with graduates of the Dubai Business Associates (DBA) programme. The meeting marked 10 years since the programme began helping young people from around the world develop their skills and grow into future business leaders.

During the gathering, Sheikh Mohammed said that the best way to build a strong and creative economy is by investing in people. He believes that young people with fresh ideas and strong skills can turn their dreams into real projects that solve problems and help society grow.

He also shared his happiness in meeting the graduates, who came from both the UAE and many other countries. He encouraged them to use the knowledge and business skills they gained during the programme to create a future based on learning, new ideas, and improving people’s lives.

Sheikh Mohammed also spoke about Dubai’s role as a top place for smart, creative people from around the world. He said the city is committed to launching and supporting projects that help people grow and succeed.

The meeting was also attended by His Excellency Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director General of the Ruler's Court, and other officials connected to the programme.

The Dubai Business Associates programme is one of the most competitive business training programmes in the world. Every year, more than 5,500 people apply. It is managed by Falcon Consultancy, a Dubai company that focuses on marketing, events, and innovation.

The DBA programme lasts nine months. It combines classroom learning with work experience, coaching, and cultural activities. In its tenth year, the programme welcomed 36 participants from 22 countries, including nine young Emiratis. During the programme, participants worked on real business projects with well-known Dubai companies like Emirates, DIFC, dnata, DP World, and the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism.

Since the programme started in 2014, 278 people from 44 countries have taken part, including 56 Emiratis. More than 140 work placements have been completed with over 30 leading companies in Dubai. So far, the programme has delivered 84 business projects worth a total of $27 million. These projects have helped many parts of Dubai’s business world grow and improve. Also, more than 30% of applicants come from top-ranked global universities.

To make sure participants get high-quality training, the programme works with respected education partners like PwC’s Academy, Capadev, and Bon Education. These partners help teach important skills and prepare participants for successful careers.
