Abu Dhabi – President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has formally honoured individuals and organisations for their exceptional contributions to the Life Endowment campaign, a nationwide initiative aimed at strengthening the UAE’s healthcare system through sustainable giving.
The recognition ceremony, held at Qasr Al Bahr, celebrated donors whose generosity has bolstered the country’s capacity to support patients with chronic illnesses, people of determination, and vulnerable members of society. Sheikh Mohamed praised the contributors, highlighting their role in advancing Abu Dhabi’s healthcare sector while reinforcing national development priorities.
The Life Endowment campaign is rooted in the UAE’s long-standing culture of compassion and philanthropy, reflecting the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Through this initiative, charitable contributions are strategically invested, generating long-term returns to support medical care and community welfare.
During the event, contributors from public, private, and non-profit sectors were acknowledged for their financial and in-kind support. Their efforts have expanded the campaign’s reach, strengthened institutional frameworks, and enhanced management systems, ensuring that the initiative continues to provide sustainable benefits to the community.
Senior representatives of Awqaf Abu Dhabi, the authority responsible for managing endowments and charitable funds, were also honoured for their leadership in executing the campaign and promoting a culture of structured giving across the UAE.
The ceremony was attended by prominent members of the Abu Dhabi leadership, including H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, alongside other senior officials and dignitaries.
The Life Endowment campaign continues to serve as a model for sustainable charitable initiatives, translating the UAE’s commitment to generosity and social responsibility into tangible benefits for its communities, while ensuring long-term resilience and inclusivity in healthcare services.
