Dubai-based airline Emirates has announced that Iranian nationals are currently not permitted to enter or transit through the United Arab Emirates, according to an update published on its official website on Wednesday.
The restriction applies broadly to Iranian passport holders, impacting both direct entry and transit travel through UAE airports. This development signals a tightening of travel regulations affecting passengers from Iran.
Meanwhile, low-cost carrier Flydubai has issued a slightly different guideline. The airline confirmed that Iranian nationals who hold a valid UAE “Golden Visa” are exempt from these restrictions and are allowed to both enter and transit through the country.
The contrasting policies highlight varying airline-level implementations of entry rules, making it crucial for travelers to check specific airline requirements before planning their journeys. Passengers are advised to stay updated with official airline announcements and UAE immigration guidelines to avoid disruptions.
