His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance of the UAE, met with Paolo Ruiz, President and Chief Operating Officer of Eaton, a global leader in smart power management solutions.
The meeting was held as part of ongoing efforts to build stronger ties between the UAE and top international companies that are leading the way in innovation, clean energy, and new technologies.
During their discussion, both sides talked about exciting investment opportunities in smart energy and how they could work together on new projects. These projects aim to improve energy use, support sustainability, and speed up the move to clean energy. This is in line with the UAE’s big goal to achieve carbon neutrality and become a top destination for green technology investments.

Sheikh Maktoum shared that under the leadership of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the country is focused on building strong partnerships with global companies in key sectors. He said smart energy and sustainability are among the top priorities.
He added that working with powerful companies like Eaton can help the UAE move faster toward building a future based on knowledge, innovation, and a strong, green economy. He also said the country is investing in strong infrastructure and a supportive business environment, which matches global trends and attracts both talent and technology. All of this supports the goals of Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33.
Paolo Ruiz praised Dubai’s vision and flexible business environment. He confirmed Eaton’s commitment to growing its presence in the region and helping the UAE reach its goals in clean energy, digital growth, and smart energy systems.
Eaton is one of the world’s biggest companies in the field of energy management. It offers smart and integrated solutions that help industries, infrastructure, and renewable energy systems work more efficiently. The company is active in over 175 countries.
Also attending the meeting were His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA); Hadi Badri, CEO of Dubai Economic Development Corporation; and Abdulla bin Damithan, CEO of DP World UAE and Jafza.
