His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah and a member of the Supreme Council, arrived in Muscat, the capital of Oman, on Thursday. During his visit, he will meet with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, the Sultan of Oman, and attend events at the Muscat International Book Fair.
When His Highness arrived at the Royal Airport, he was warmly welcomed by His Excellency Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, who is the Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court.

Along with His Highness, there is a special group of people who are accompanying him on this visit. This group includes: Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, who is the Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority, His Excellency Mohammed bin Nekhaira Al Dhaheri, the UAE Ambassador to Oman, Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, the Chairman of the Department of Culture, Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, the CEO of the Sharjah Book Authority, Mohammed Obaid Al Zaabi, the Head of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality, Mohamed Hassan Khalaf, the Director General of Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, and Tariq Saeed Allay, the Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau.
This visit is a significant event, as His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi’s attendance at the Muscat International Book Fair highlights the strong cultural ties between the UAE and Oman.
