Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia Discuss Expanding Air Connectivity

The President of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), Samir Rzayev, met with Essam bin Saleh Al-Jutaili, the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Azerbaijan. They talked about the possibility of increasing flights between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia to make it easier for people to travel between the two countries.

Both sides agreed that having more flights would help boost tourism and improve business ties between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia. They pointed out that last year, 94,300 tourists from Saudi Arabia visited Azerbaijan, showing that the two countries are growing closer.

Right now, AZAL flies between Baku and Dammam twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays. It also has flights between Baku and Riyadh three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Both sides agreed to work together to improve these routes and create even more chances for people to travel.

The meeting was important because it showed how both countries are committed to making it easier for people to visit each other, helping the tourism industry and growing their business relationships.
