Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, recently visited the main office of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai. This visit is part of his continuous efforts to check on how government departments are working and support their future plans.

Sheikh Ahmed was welcomed by His Excellency Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, along with Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, Deputy Director General, and other senior officials. He was joined during the visit by His Excellency Abdulla Mohammed Al Basti, Secretary General of The Executive Council of Dubai.

During the visit, Sheikh Ahmed was given a detailed look at the work being done by GDRFA. He learned about important plans and projects that aim to improve services for people living in and visiting Dubai. The projects presented during the visit are part of a larger plan by the Dubai government to offer smart, easy-to-use, and people-focused services. Some of the important topics discussed included risk management systems, regular internal checks, building a strong reputation, planning for the future, keeping employees happy, and even encouraging sports activities in the workplace.

Sheikh Ahmed also looked at some of the successful service models that help build trust among customers and improve Dubai’s reputation in international rankings related to government performance and quality of life.

His visit shows how serious Dubai’s leadership is about keeping an eye on how government departments are performing and helping them grow. It also highlights their goal of working together as one team and always finding new ways to improve.

Lieutenant General Al Marri expressed his gratitude for Sheikh Ahmed’s visit. He said the team was honoured and inspired by His Highness’s presence and that it gives them new energy to continue providing top-quality services to people. He added that excellence in government work is not just a short-term goal, but a way of life that helps make society better and more stable.

Al Marri also said that the GDRFA team is proud to be part of Dubai’s progress. They are committed to offering smart and high-quality services that make life easier for everyone and improve the image of the UAE around the world.
