During the meeting, the Council discussed several important topics. One of the key points was evaluating the performance of government departments and agencies. The Council also reviewed the legal frameworks that help strengthen the financial sector in Sharjah. These steps are crucial for improving the emirate’s economy and supporting its continuous growth in various important areas.
A significant decision made by the Council concerned the fees for the release of impounded vehicles in Sharjah. This decision applies to all types of vehicles and their owners or drivers within the emirate. The aim is to return vehicles that were impounded due to serious offenses like reckless driving and negligence, which can be dangerous for people and property. Once the legal period for impoundment has ended, these vehicles can be released.
The Council also discussed plans and projects that focus on protecting the environment. They talked about ways to reduce the use of single-use plastics and find more sustainable solutions. These efforts are part of Sharjah’s ongoing commitment to environmental protection, which is crucial for maintaining a healthy and clean community. The Council emphasized the important role of everyone in the community to help create innovative environmental practices and make Sharjah a leader in sustainability and health.
