Sean 'Diddy' Combs Detained by NYPD in New York City

Renowned rapper and entrepreneur Sean "Diddy" Combs was taken into custody in Manhattan on Monday evening, marking a significant development in the ongoing investigation into sex trafficking allegations against him.

According to multiple law enforcement sources, the arrest was made in connection with a sealed indictment filed by the Southern District of New York (SDNY). US Attorney Damian Williams confirmed the arrest, stating that federal agents apprehended Combs based on the indictment.

Combs' attorney, Marc Agnifilo, expressed disappointment over the arrest, maintaining that his client is innocent. "We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution," Agnifilo said in a written statement.

The rapper faces multiple civil lawsuits, including allegations of raping an underage girl and attempting to groom a producer into having sex with another man. Combs has denied all allegations, with his spokesperson previously dismissing the lawsuits as a "money grab."

The legal troubles began in November 2023 when ex-partner Casandra "Cassie" Ventura filed her lawsuit. Two other women followed with similar allegations of abuse and assault, including one who claimed Combs choked her until she lost consciousness.

Further accusations emerged in December, with a civil lawsuit alleging Combs and two others sex-trafficked a 17-year-old girl. In February, former producer Rodney Jones Jr. filed a lawsuit claiming Combs made unwanted sexual advances and attempted to groom him.

Raids on Combs' Los Angeles and Miami properties in March yielded electronics, which were handed over to authorities.

Many lawsuits were filed just before the expiration of the New York Adult Survivors Act, allowing victims to file claims beyond the statute of limitations.
