The government of Saudi Arabia is supporting the tournament fully. They are building 11 new football stadiums and fixing up 4 old ones to make them modern. These stadiums will be very comfortable for fans and will also focus on being environmentally friendly.
The main cities that will host the games are Riyadh, Jeddah, Al-Khobar, Abha, and NEOM. These cities will have stadiums for matches and other events during the tournament.
Riyadh will have 8 stadiums. One of the biggest will be the King Salman International Stadium, which will have space for more than 92,000 fans. This stadium will host both the opening and final matches of the 2034 World Cup.
Another special stadium will be Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Stadium in Qiddiya. It has a modern design with three-sided seating and colorful lights that will give great views to fans.
The King Fahd Sports City Stadium in Riyadh is being renovated. After it is fixed, this stadium will host 70,000 fans. Another stadium in Riyadh is Prince Faisal bin Fahd Sports City Stadium, located in a key area of the city.
The South Riyadh Stadium is another new stadium being built. It will combine modern architecture with traditional Saudi designs and will have space for 47,000 fans. There is also ROSHN Stadium, which will have room for 46,000 fans.
In Jeddah, a new stadium will be built called Jeddah Central Development Stadium. Its design will be inspired by the traditional wooden buildings found in the historic Al-Balad district.
The King Abdullah Sports City Stadium will seat 58,000 fans. This is one of the main stadiums for the tournament. Another important stadium is the King Khalid University Stadium in Abha, which is being expanded to hold over 45,000 people.
The NEOM Stadium will be one of the most unique stadiums in the world. It will be built at a height of 350 meters and will use renewable energy sources like wind and solar power to power the stadium.
Saudi Arabia plans to use 10 cities to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup and its related events. These cities will also have training camps for the 48 teams that will participate in the tournament. There will be 132 training venues across 15 cities to support the teams. Out of these, 72 stadiums will host the teams’ practice sessions.
The idea is not just to have football matches but to show the visitors the beautiful culture, history, and tourist spots of Saudi Arabia. Fans will have a chance to enjoy both football and sightseeing.
The stadiums and plans for the 2034 FIFA World Cup show that Saudi Arabia is prepared to host one of the most exciting and unique football tournaments in history. Visitors from all over the world are expected to attend this special event.
