Pure Ice Cream, a leading food company, has started building a new factory in Dubai Industrial City. This new factory will cost AED 80 million and will be one of the biggest ice cream factories in the UAE when it opens in 2026. Dubai Industrial City is a big place where many factories and companies work together, and it is part of TECOM Group.
The opening ceremony was attended by important people, including Mohammed Shael Al Saadi, the CEO of Dubai Corporation for Consumer Protection and Fair Trade. Also present were Gaurav Ghai, Chairman of Graviss Group (which owns Pure Ice Cream), Paul Brown, CEO of Inspire Brands, Michael Haley, President of Inspire Brands International, and Saud Abu Alshawareb, Executive Vice President at TECOM Group.
The new factory will help Pure Ice Cream produce up to 50 million liters of ice cream each year. They have also made an agreement to make Baskin-Robbins ice cream, a popular brand from the USA. Gaurav Ghai said they are excited to build the biggest ice cream factory in the Gulf region and send their products to more than 20 countries from Dubai.

Michael Haley said that Baskin-Robbins has been in Dubai for over 45 years, and this new factory will help the business and customers grow even more in the region.
Saud Abu Alshawareb explained that Dubai Industrial City supports local products and helps the economy grow. He said Pure Ice Cream’s new factory shows how strong the UAE is as a place for food production. He also said the project supports important plans for the country’s future, like making more products in the UAE and ensuring food security.
Pure Ice Cream signed a contract with Dubai Industrial City in October 2024 during an international food show in Paris. They are also planning to sell their products in new markets in Africa, the Levant, and Southeast Asia. The factory will cover 160,000 square feet on a land area of 246,000 square feet. The teams that will build the factory will be announced soon.
This factory will use smart technology like artificial intelligence (AI) and automated systems to make sure the production is fast and the quality is good. It will have x-ray machines to check the products and a special place for research and testing to keep improving the ice cream.
Pure Ice Cream will also use eco-friendly packaging for some of its products and will use solar power to reduce pollution. The factory will create about 60 new jobs when it is finished.
Dubai Industrial City is home to more than 1,100 companies and over 350 factories. Some well-known food companies like Asmak, Patchi, and Al Barakah Dates are also based there. The area was planned carefully with different zones for industries like metals, machinery, food, transport, and chemicals. It is close to important places like Al Maktoum International Airport, Jebel Ali Port, and major roads, making it easy to move goods.
Dubai Industrial City is part of TECOM Group, which also manages other business areas in Dubai like Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, Dubai Studio City, and more. This new factory by Pure Ice Cream is a big step in growing Dubai’s food industry and making it a center for food production in the region.
