The Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC) has signed an important new partnership with the Institute for Healthier Living Abu Dhabi (IHLAD). This agreement is all about helping people in Abu Dhabi live healthier and longer lives. It focuses on using new technology and smart health care to stop diseases before they start and support people in making better lifestyle choices.
The agreement was signed during a big international health conference, the 25th IUHPE World Conference on Health Promotion. It’s the first time this event has ever been held in the Middle East, and this year’s theme was all about keeping both people and the planet healthy.

Working Together to Fight Common Health Problems
ADPHC and IHLAD are joining hands to prevent and manage diseases that are often caused by unhealthy lifestyles. These include problems like diabetes, heart disease, obesity, high blood pressure, and other illnesses that affect many people today.
As part of the plan, IHLAD will use health information from a special program called IFHAS, which collects health data from people in Abu Dhabi. Anyone who wants to take part will give their permission first. Then, based on their age, gender, and health condition, they will be grouped and given special care designed just for them.
This care includes early check-ups and smart ways to prevent diseases using the latest technology and medical research. The goal is to treat health problems before they become serious.
Using New Tools to Stay Healthy
The new program will use some amazing new tools to find health issues early. These include:
Biomarkers (special signs in the body that show if something is wrong)
AI-based eye scans (using smart computers to check your eyes for signs of illness)
Multi-omics testing (looking closely at genes and body functions)
Based on these tests, people will get their own personal plans for food, exercise, and overall health. These plans will be made using advice from trusted health experts, like the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
A Message from Health Leaders
Dr. Rashed Obaid Alsuwaidi, who leads the ADPHC, said:
“This partnership shows our strong promise to help everyone in our community stay healthy. We believe in stopping illness before it starts by using early testing, smart data, and the newest technology in healthcare.”
He also said that tools like the Malaffi platform and the IFHAS health checks give important information that helps Abu Dhabi plan better health services and support people in living healthier lives.
Dr. Nicole Sirotin, CEO of IHLAD, added:
“Our goal is to make the healthcare system smarter. We want to find out who might get sick before it happens and help them avoid serious illness. We are proud to work closely with the ADPHC and other government groups to make this happen.”
World’s First Longevity Health Center
In exciting news, the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi recently created a new set of rules to allow special health centers called Healthy Longevity Medicine Centers (HLMCs). These centers are focused on keeping people well and preventing sickness for as long as possible.
IHLAD is the first health center in the world to get a license under this new system, making it a leader in this kind of medicine.
A Global Conference on Public Health
The big health conference mentioned earlier is hosted by ADPHC and organized with help from the International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE). More than 2,000 health experts and leaders from around the world are taking part.
The event focuses on preventing illness, using new ideas, and working together across different areas to solve today’s health problems. Abu Dhabi is showing that it wants to be a global leader in building smart and healthy communities.
