Reports say that the plane had a problem with its engine while it was moving toward the gate after landing at Denver. The airline said that all 172 passengers and six crew members safely left the plane and were taken to the terminal.
American Airlines thanked the crew, the airport team, and the first responders for acting quickly to make sure everyone was safe. Fortunately, the fire was put out, and no one was hurt.
It is still unclear what caused the fire. The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that Flight 1006 was safely diverted and landed at Denver International Airport.
