Actor Parineeti Chopra and AAP leader Raghav Chaddha have officially introduced their newborn son to the world, revealing that they have named him Neer. The couple shared the news through an emotional social media post on Wednesday, offering a warm glimpse into their new journey as parents. They also shared a Sanskrit verse, “Jalasya rūpam, premasya svarūpam – tatra eva Neer,” expressing that the name symbolises purity, divinity, and boundless love. “Neer” also cleverly combines elements from both Parineeti and Raghav’s names, making it personally meaningful.

Accompanying the announcement were two intimate photographs: one showing the couple softly kissing their baby’s tiny feet, and another where they gently cup his feet in their hands. These images highlighted the tenderness and protective affection surrounding their newborn. In her caption, Parineeti wrote, “Our hearts found peace in an eternal drop of life. We named him ‘Neer’ — pure, divine, limitless.”

Neer was born on 19 October, but the couple chose to keep the news private initially, sharing the moment only with close family members. A few days later, they posted a joint statement announcing his arrival, writing, “He’s finally here! Our baby boy. We can’t remember life before this moment. Arms full, our hearts are fuller. First, we had each other; now, we have everything,” signing off with gratitude.

Parineeti and Raghav’s relationship began quietly, away from media attention. They were first seen together in early 2023, which sparked speculation. The couple confirmed their relationship when they got engaged at Delhi’s Kapurthala House in May 2023. Their wedding took place on 23 September 2023 in Udaipur, celebrated in an intimate yet elegant ceremony attended by family and close friends.

On the work front, Parineeti was last seen in Amar Singh Chamkila, where her performance received critical appreciation. She has already completed filming for an untitled Netflix mystery thriller series starring Tahir Raj Bhasin and Jennifer Winget, and she is also set to appear in the Hindi film Jugalbandi. As she embraces motherhood, fans look forward to her upcoming projects as well as this new phase in her life.
