The Palm Jebel Ali project developer has announced that the initial eight fronds of the island will be site-ready by the first quarter of 2025. This significant milestone will pave the way for the commencement of civil works and villa infrastructure, marking a major step forward in the development of the grand artificial archipelago.
On Monday, Nakheel revealed that it has awarded a substantial Dh810 million contract for marine works related to the Palm Jebel Ali project. The contract, granted to Jan De Nul Dredging, covers extensive marine activities including dredging, land reclamation, beach profiling, and sand placement. With mobilization activities already in progress, Jan De Nul is expected to complete these marine works within just over two years.
The Palm Jebel Ali project includes the development of a new public access road that will connect the island to Sheikh Zayed Road, enhancing accessibility and integration with the broader infrastructure of Dubai.

Last year, Nakheel launched the sale of over 700 villas in the Phase 1 fronds of Palm Jebel Ali. The properties were quickly snapped up, highlighting strong market demand. Real estate brokers and investors lined up for the opportunity, underscoring the project's appeal.
The ongoing marine and infrastructure developments are crucial to meeting the project's delivery schedule. The villas in Phase 1 are anticipated to be completed and delivered by late 2026. Once finished, the Palm Jebel Ali will stretch 13.4 kilometers in length, featuring 16 fronds and a 91-kilometer shoreline. The island, designed in the shape of a palm, is set to be twice the size of Palm Jumeirah and is projected to accommodate approximately 35,000 families.
These advancements reflect Nakheel's commitment to realizing one of the most ambitious real estate projects in Dubai, enhancing its position as a key player in the region's luxury property market
