On New Year’s Eve 2025, Dubai’s public transport move a total of 2,502,474 passengers. This is more than last year when 2,288,631 people used public transport. The increase is 9.3%, showing that more people are using Dubai’s transport services in time celebrations.
The Dubai Metro was the busiest transport service. It move 1,133,251 passengers on the Red and Green lines. The metro helped many people travel easily across the city.
The Dubai Tram move 55,391 passengers. It is a good option for traveling in certain parts of the city. Public buses also helped many people, carrying a total of 465,779 passengers.
Some people traveled by water using marine transport like abras, ferries, and water taxis. These services move 80,066 passengers, giving people a peaceful way to travel.
E-hailing services, such as ride-booking apps, were also popular. They served 195,651 passengers. Shared transport vehicles carried 1,238 passengers, while taxis helped 571,098 people reach their destinations.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said the transport plan worked very well. The RTA made this plan with help from other groups in Dubai. The goal was to make sure everyone could travel safely and without trouble during the celebrations.
The RTA said they planned carefully to keep everything running smoothly. The teamwork of different groups helped
make the transport system work well for so many people.
The big number of passengers shows how strong and well-organized Dubai’s public transport is. It also shows the city is ready to welcome large crowds in the future. Dubai wants to make sure people can travel easily, even during busy times like New Year’s Eve.
