RTA Announces Service Timings for New Year’s Holiday 2025

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has shared the operating hours for its services during the New Year holiday in 2025. The timings cover many services, including customer service centers, paid parking, public buses, Dubai Metro and Tram, marine transport, and vehicle testing centers.

Service Centers and Vehicle Testing:
The service centers that test vehicles and the Customer Happiness Centers will be closed on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, for the New Year holiday. They will open again on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at their regular times.

Dubai Metro:

• On Tuesday, December 31, 2024, the Metro will run from 5:00 AM to 11:59 PM.
• On Wednesday, January 1, 2025, the Metro will run from midnight to 11:59 PM.

Dubai Tram:

• On Tuesday, December 31, 2024, the Tram will run from 6:00 AM to 11:59 PM.
• On Wednesday, January 1, 2025, the Tram will run from midnight to 1:00 AM.

Public Buses (Dubai Bus):
For the latest bus timings, please use the S’hail app.

• The E100 bus route from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station will not run from December 31, 2024, to January 1, 2025. Passengers can use Route E101 from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Abu Dhabi instead.
• The E102 bus route from Al Jafiliya Bus Station will also be suspended during this period. Passengers can use the same route from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Shabiya Musaffah instead.

Marine Transport:
Here are the timings for water transport during the New Year holiday:

Water Taxi:

• Marina Mall to Bluewaters (BM3): From 4:00 PM to midnight.
• On-demand services (booking required): From 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
• Marina Mall 1 to Marina Walk (BM1): From 12:00 noon to 11:10 PM.
• Marina Promenade to Marina Mall 1 (BM1): From 1:50 PM to 9:45 PM.
• Marina Terrace to Marina Walk (BM1): From 1:50 PM to 9:50 PM.
• Full route: From 3:55 PM to 9:50 PM.

Dubai Ferry:

• Al Ghubaiba to Dubai Water Canal (FR1): 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
• Dubai Water Canal to Al Ghubaiba (FR1): 2:25 PM and 7:25 PM.
• Dubai Water Canal to Bluewaters (FR2): 1:50 PM and 6:50 PM.
• Bluewaters to Marina Mall (FR2): 2:55 PM and 7:55 PM.
• Marina Mall to Bluewaters (FR2): 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
• Bluewaters to Dubai Water Canal (FR2): 1:20 PM and 6:20 PM.
• Tourist trips from Marina Mall: 4:30 PM.
• Al Ghubaiba to Aquarium (Sharjah) (FR5): 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM, 8:00 PM, and 10:00 PM.
• Aquarium (Sharjah) to Al Ghubaiba (FR5): 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM, 6:00 PM, and 9:00 PM.
• Tourist trips from Al Jaddaf, Dubai Creek Harbour, and Dubai Festival City (TR7): 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM.

Abras (Water Taxis):

• Dubai Old Souq to Baniyas (CR3): 11:00 AM to 11:50 PM.
• Al Fahidi to Al Sabkha (CR4): 11:00 AM to 11:45 PM.
• Al Fahidi to Deira Old Souq (CR5): 11:00 AM to 11:45 PM.
• Baniyas to Al Seef (CR6): 11:00 AM to 12:20 AM.
• Al Seef to Al Fahidi to Dubai Old Souq (CR7): 3:10 PM to 10:55 PM.
• Al Jaddaf to Dubai Festival City (BM2): 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
• Al Jaddaf to Dubai Creek Harbour (CR11): 7:15 AM to 4:00 PM.

Tourist Trips:

• Al Seef, Al Fahidi, and Baniyas (TR10): 4:00 PM to 10:15 PM.
• Dubai Water Canal and Sheikh Zayed Marine Station (TR6): 4:00 PM to 10:15 PM.
• Al Wajeha, Al Marasi, Business Bay, Godolphin, Sheikh Zayed Road (DC2): 3:35 PM to 10:05 PM.
• Al Jaddaf to Dubai Design District (DC3): 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM.
• Roundtrips in Marina Mall 1 (TR8): 4:00 PM to 10:15 PM.

Public Parking:
All public parking areas will be free of charge on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, except for multi-storey parking. Paid parking will start again on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
