The Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is celebrating its 10th season with a diverse and exciting calendar of events under the theme "Looking Back and Looking Forward." This milestone season will showcase 55 performances featuring over 30 local and international artists, kicking off on September 5, 2024.
The season promises a mix of world premieres and UAE debuts, offering a range of performances from innovative new works to beloved returning acts. Notable highlights include the world premieres of "Hamour Doesn’t Leave the Cubicle" by Reem Almenhali and Ahmed Almadloum, and "MUJO" by Purring Tiger. The season will also feature UAE debuts such as Gaye Su Akyol, who will perform alongside TootArd, and the futuristic Congolese/French group KOKOKO!, as well as Cimafunk and Abosahar.
The Tamaas Festival will present "Aita Mon Amour," and the season will include UAE premieres of acclaimed international productions such as Cie. Hervé Koubi’s "Sol Invictus," Chrystèle Khodr’s "Augurs," and Cie. Omar Rajeh & Maqamat’s "Beytna." Returning favorites include the Trisha Brown Dance Company, ZigZag Ghanim, comedian Maysoon Zayid, and Yahael Onono Camara from the Balimaya Project.

Bill Bragin, Executive Artistic Director of the Arts Center, emphasized the center's role as a hub for creativity and intercultural dialogue.
