Following the guidance of Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan, the Northern Borders Region is proudly participating in the 10th King Abdulaziz Camel Festival. An exclusive pavilion has been set up within the Ministry of Interior’s Security Oasis Exhibition, aimed at emphasizing the region's cultural heritage alongside modern advancements in quality of life. This pavilion has swiftly become a popular destination for attendees eager to delve into the region’s rich identity and traditions.
Visitors can enjoy a range of traditional activities that celebrate the Northern Borders Region's cultural history. A standout feature is the northern Daha dance, performed by local troupes, captivating festival-goers. Additionally, the pavilion hosts exhibits on falconry, offering insights into one of Saudi Arabia’s esteemed and historical pastimes. The sounds of the rababa instrument infuse the space with an authentic cultural ambiance, allowing guests to connect with the region’s artistic legacy.
A thoughtful section of the pavilion dedicates itself to showcasing northern hospitality, placing a spotlight on traditional Saudi coffee. Here, attendees can discover preparation techniques, serving traditions, and the cultural significance coffee holds in Saudi society. This booth highlights how coffee serves as a vital component in welcoming guests and nurturing social connections, marking it as an essential tradition in the region.
Through its involvement, the Northern Borders Region seeks to promote its local heritage, enhance cultural tourism, safeguard enduring traditions, and exhibit the pride of its community. The pavilion not only elevates the festival experience but also reinforces the region’s visibility and cultural representation at one of the Kingdom’s premier events.
