Fujairah witnessed a significant educational milestone as H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, inaugurated the newly completed Fujairah University building, marking a major step in strengthening the emirate’s academic landscape.
The inauguration took place in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah and Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees. The ceremony underscored the leadership’s continued commitment to expanding quality education and supporting the UAE’s long-term development goals.
During the tour, the Ruler of Fujairah reviewed the university’s upgraded facilities, which have been designed to offer a modern and integrated academic environment. He visited the main library, new classrooms, advanced laboratories and dedicated scientific research spaces. A key highlight of the visit was the medical simulation centre, considered one of the leading specialised facilities in the UAE for practical medical training.
The new building also showcases the latest educational technologies and equipment aimed at enhancing learning experiences across multiple disciplines. With expanded student services, improved academic spaces and upgraded research capabilities, the university is positioned to meet the evolving needs of students and faculty.
H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi described the development as an important achievement for Fujairah, noting that the emirate continues to focus on educational progress through new programmes and initiatives that support community growth and prepare future-ready generations. He emphasised that Fujairah University is becoming a growing hub of knowledge and innovation, supporting the UAE’s broader educational ecosystem.
The opening of the new campus marks a forward step in Fujairah’s vision to create stronger academic foundations and broaden opportunities for learners across the country.
