Netflix really scored on Friday! FIFA declared they've got the sole rights to air the 2027 and 2031 Women's World Cups in the U.S. The money part isn't public, but it's a huge move for women's soccer. FIFA's head honcho, Gianni Infantino, is pretty stoked about the landmark deal.

His words were full of praise for Netflix's backing of women's soccer. "Netflix is a powerhouse for FIFA. They're game changers in growing women's soccer," said Infantino. This sweet contract showcases the worth of the Women's World Cup as well as the surge in women's soccer globally.
"This partnership belts out a loud note of the Women’s World Cup and women’s soccer's relevance. A momentous occasion for broadcasts and women’s football alike," Infantino chimed in. Kick-off for the 2027 Women’s World Cup is in Brazil. Thirty-two teams will be giving it their all in 64 matches from June 24 to July 25. The 2031 tournament site is still up in the air. However, America may toss its hat in the ring to play host.
Historically, viewers could catch the men's and women's World Cups for free to maximize viewership. But now, FIFA's huge agreement with Netflix is a first for the Women's World Cup. It’s a massive leap in projecting women’s soccer to a wider global audience!
