The Trusted Digital Trade Corridor is the first project like this in the Middle East. The goal is to use technology to make trade faster and safer. It will help goods move across borders more quickly and securely. The project is being developed with the help of the UAE Ministry of Economy and other government departments.
During the conference, His Excellency Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori met with Ian Saunders, the Secretary General of the World Customs Organization (WCO). They talked about how technology can change the way customs works around the world. Mr. Saunders praised Abu Dhabi Customs for leading the project with Brazil.
More than 1,200 people from 95 countries attended the conference. It included customs officials, businesses, and experts who discussed new ways to make trade safer and easier.
Abu Dhabi Customs also gave two presentations at the event. One talk was about how technology and data are changing land transport, and the other was about how blockchain can improve customs work and trade.
This new project with Brazil is a big step forward for Abu Dhabi Customs. The Trusted Digital Trade Corridor will make it easier and faster for goods to move between countries while keeping everything safe and secure.
