Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, has announced important changes in the UAE government. These changes were made with the guidance and support of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Two big changes include the creation of a new "Ministry of Family" and renaming the "Ministry of Community Development" to the "Ministry of Community Empowerment."
A New Ministry for Families
Sheikh Mohammed said that families are the foundation of the UAE and are very important for the future of the country. To support families, the new "Ministry of Family" will be set up. This ministry will help families become stronger and more stable. It will create new programs and policies to support family life, encourage marriages, and help couples prepare for starting a family.

The ministry will also focus on making family life better by creating rules to prevent family problems, reduce breakups, and encourage families to have more children. It will also take care of children, making sure they grow up healthy and happy. Special programs will focus on protecting children and giving them better care, especially in their early years.
The ministry will also work to help people who need extra support, such as older people, People of Determination, orphans, and victims of violence. It will work with other organizations to make sure these groups get the help they need. Additionally, the ministry will look after children who need new families and will issue official documents for children without known parents.
New Minister for Family
Her Excellency Sana bint Mohammad Suhail has been chosen to lead the "Ministry of Family." She has worked in many important government roles, helping children and families. Her experience makes her the right person for this job. Sheikh Mohammed said that her dedication and knowledge will help her lead this important ministry.
New Role for the Ministry of Community Development
The "Ministry of Community Development" will now be called the "Ministry of Community Empowerment." This change was made to give more focus to helping families and individuals become independent. The ministry will help families who have financial struggles by giving them money, training, and other support to improve their lives.
This ministry will also manage social programs, ensuring that low-income families get the right help. It will create opportunities for these families to learn skills, find jobs, and build a better future for themselves. The ministry will work with other organizations to provide training and job opportunities based on each family’s needs.
The ministry will also regulate non-profit organizations, making sure they follow the rules and do good work for society. It will handle donation collections and encourage people to volunteer, helping to build a stronger and kinder community.
A Shared Responsibility
Sheikh Mohammed said that supporting families and communities is not just the job of the government. He encouraged everyone—government offices, businesses, and people in the UAE—to work together to make these plans successful. He said, "Strong families create strong communities, and strong communities create a strong nation."
Future Plans
The new ministries will work closely with the Education, Human Development, and Community Development Council. This council will make sure all the ministries' plans work together, supporting people from childhood, through education, careers, and family life.
The changes will be introduced gradually over the next year to ensure that people who are already receiving help from the government will not face any problems. Sheikh Mohammed said these changes will help families and communities grow stronger, creating a bright future for everyone in the UAE.
