Since starting the strategy in late 2023, Miral has carried out nearly 175 programs that have impacted many people across Abu Dhabi. These programs have reached over 3,000 community members. Through these efforts, Miral is working to create positive changes and improve the lives of people in the community.
Taghrid Alsaeed, the Executive Director of Marketing, Communications & Events at Miral, expressed her pride in the progress. She said, “We are proud of the work we’ve done to make social responsibility a part of everything we do. Looking forward to 2025 and the UAE’s Year of Community, we want to continue making long-term, positive changes. We focus on helping people develop skills and supporting health and wellness, aiming to build stronger and more connected communities.”
Miral has teamed up with more than 20 important organizations, such as the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC), Emirates Foundation, and others. These partnerships help make sure that the programs are effective and that they provide benefits for the community.
Miral’s CSR plan focuses on eight main areas: Skill Development & Livelihood, Education, Social Welfare, Health & Wellness, Sports, Arts, Culture & Tourism, Environment, and Animal Welfare. Miral has carried out many activities that helped people from all walks of life.
Some examples of their work include the Miral Pink Run on Yas Island, where more than 1,000 people gathered to raise awareness for breast cancer. There was also a beach clean-up at Al Sadr Beach, where 250 volunteers collected almost 1,000 kg of waste. They also held charity movie screenings for orphans, senior citizens, and people with disabilities, and hosted an event for children fighting cancer before a golf championship at Yas Links.
Miral also held two events at Mamsha Al Saadiyat. One was the Miral Reading Experience, which helped people enjoy reading through workshops and a book donation drive. The other was Funoon Bil Arabi, an event to celebrate the Arabic language, which attracted over 900 people who participated in workshops, performances, and film screenings.
Other important programs include Winged Horizons, which helps protect local birds of prey, and training workshops to improve crisis management skills. Miral also held successful blood donation drives, collecting over 90 liters of blood from more than 200 people.
Miral is committed to both social and environmental responsibility. As part of its future goals, the company has also introduced a Sustainability Strategy, aiming to lead the region in sustainable tourism and entertainment by 2030. This shows Miral’s dedication to a brighter and greener future for all.
