All public, private, and charter schools in Abu Dhabi can join this year. Early education institutions (EEIs) can also join in some award groups for the first time. There are 16 award groups, including six new ones. Winners will get prizes worth AED7 million. This money will help make schools and programs better.
Some new awards are for Best Parental Engagement, Director of the Year, and Outstanding Educator. These new awards show that ADEK cares about improving all parts of learning.
Her Excellency Sara Musallam, Chairman of ADEK, said, “The first ADEK Awards showed how much schools and teachers care about students. This year, we added more awards to celebrate their work. Teachers and schools are helping Abu Dhabi’s future by helping students grow and learn.”
A new award, Best AI Programme Award, will honor schools that use new technology in learning. Another, the Best ADEK Engagement Award, will thank schools that work closely with ADEK. The Best Anti-Bullying Programme Award will praise schools that make students feel safe and supported.
Other award groups include Best Inclusion Practice, Best Student Wellbeing Programme, Best Reading Programme, Best Arabic Programme, Principal of the Year, Outstanding Teacher, and the Unsung Hero Award.
Schools can sign up until January 5, 2025. Judges will then choose the winners.
