Miss Universe India 2025, Manika Vishwakarma, has been winning hearts at the ongoing Miss Universe pageant in Thailand with her elegance, confidence and expressive communication. While her fashion choices continue to captivate audiences, her thoughtful responses during interview rounds are drawing equal admiration.
During a special “chain reaction question session” held on November 16, she was asked the same memorable question that India’s Sushmita Sen had answered during the Miss Universe 1994 finale: “What is the essence of being a woman?” Before presenting her own thoughts, Manika recalled Sushmita’s iconic response, praising its simplicity and truth. She highlighted how Sushmita spoke about the woman’s ability to nurture life and everything around her.
Building on that timeless sentiment, Manika shared a modern and deeper perspective. She explained that while women possess the remarkable ability to create and nurture life, they should also be seen beyond societal expectations. She emphasized that women have the power to enhance and elevate everything they touch, adding that the true essence of being a woman lies in embracing, beautifying and amplifying the world around them. She described womanhood as “infinite,” a quality that makes women extraordinary.
Alongside her powerful statement, Manika also made a visual impact during one of the events with a striking Indian ensemble designed by Rajdeep Ranawat. Her outfit featured a rich black and navy lehenga paired with a gold-silver mirror-work choli. Completing the look was a beautifully embroidered navy jacket adorned with floral motifs and intricate mirror accents, giving her a regal and contemporary appeal.
With her grace, clarity of thought and authentic presence, Manika Vishwakarma continues to strengthen India’s representation at Miss Universe 2025. Her meaningful reinterpretation of a celebrated pageant question has not only impressed audiences worldwide but also showcased her blend of depth, cultural pride and confidence.
