Man Kills Wife & Son in Jharkhand; Arrested After Brutal Crime

A man brutally killed his wife and five-year-old son in Jharkhand’s Saraikela district on Monday morning. He used an iron pan to strike them repeatedly until they died, officials said.

The shocking crime happened in the Kapali OP area, and it has left the local community in shock.

The man, Sukhram Munda, was arrested by the police soon after the incident. Early investigations show that the crime happened because of a domestic fight. Sukhram often argued with his wife, Parvati Devi, because of his drinking habits.

Neighbors said they heard the couple arguing loudly early in the morning, followed by the screams of Parvati Devi and her son, Ganesh Munda. When they ran to the house, they saw a terrible scene: both Parvati and Ganesh were lying in pools of blood, and their heads had serious injuries.

Sukhram Munda tried to run away, but the police caught him near the village shortly after the crime.

When the police searched the house, they found a bloodstained iron pan and a blade. They believe that after hitting his wife and son with the pan, Sukhram used the blade to cut their throats.

People in the neighborhood told the police that the couple often fought, and alcohol was usually the cause of their arguments.

After the killings, the woman's relatives arrived at the scene and demanded that strict action be taken against Sukhram.

Sonu Kumar, the officer in charge of Kapali OP, said that an investigation is ongoing. "We have found the murder weapon, and the accused is being questioned to understand exactly what happened," he said.
