Actors Akshay Kumar and R. Madhavan are ready to face each other in the movie Kesari Chapter 2, which will come out in theatres on April 18. The movie also stars Ananya Panday. At the trailer launch, R. Madhavan spoke about his role and said something interesting. He said he wants people to "hate" his character after watching the movie. This, he said, would mean he played the bad guy well.

Madhavan said he chose to play the bad character because the story was very strong and exciting. He liked how the character was written and wanted to show that story on screen in the best way. He added that he didn’t think of the role as simply good or bad. Instead, he wanted to act so well that people would really feel anger toward his character.
This is not the first time R. Madhavan has played a villain. In 2024, he also played a bad character in the film Shaitaan.
Kesari Chapter 2 tells a story that happens in a courtroom. It is about a very sad and serious event called the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. In the movie, Akshay Kumar plays Sankaran Nair, an Indian lawyer who fights against the British. R. Madhavan plays Neville McKinley, a British lawyer who speaks for the British Empire. Ananya Panday also plays a lawyer in the film.
This movie is based on a true story. It is taken from the book "The Case That Shook the Empire" written by Raghu and Pushpa Palat. It is also the first film directed by Karan Singh Tyagi.
R. Madhavan will also be seen soon in other movies. He will act in Test, along with Nayanthara and Siddharth. He is also working on De De Pyaar De 2, where he will act with Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh.
