At the closing ceremony of the Dubai Sculpture Symposium 2024, Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, along with Her Excellency Hala Badri, took time to meet a group of talented Emirati students at the International Centre for Culinary Arts (ICCA Dubai). The event was a special moment to celebrate the achievements of the students, who had showcased their skills in the culinary arts.

The students, Huda Alghfeli, Maitha Alghfeli, Noora Alawadi, Alya Al Ali, and Asayel Almarzooqi, were part of a group of elite Emirati chefs who worked hard to present traditional dishes of Emirati cuisine. These dishes not only reflected the richness of the country’s food traditions but also highlighted the core values of generosity and hospitality, which are deeply embedded in Emirati society. Through their cooking, the students demonstrated their passion for preserving and sharing the cultural heritage of the UAE.

Chef Balqees Al Bastaki, who was also present, helped guide and support the students during their journey at the ICCA Dubai. Under her expert mentorship, the students gained valuable knowledge and skills that they used to create dishes that were both authentic and innovative.

Her Highness Sheikha Latifa took the opportunity to express her admiration for the student's hard work and dedication. She encouraged them to continue pursuing their passions and wished them success in their future careers. Her Highness emphasized the importance of education and hard work in building a successful future and made sure the students knew that their contributions to Emirati cuisine were appreciated. She also highlighted how the efforts of young Emiratis, like the students at ICCA Dubai, were helping to shape the future of the UAE, both in the culinary world and beyond.

This meeting was a reminder of the UAE's commitment to supporting its young people in their educational and career ambitions. Through such initiatives, the country is fostering a generation of talented chefs and professionals who are proud of their heritage and eager to share it with the world. The students' involvement in the Dubai Sculpture Symposium's closing ceremony was an important milestone in their journey, connecting the world of art and culture with the culinary traditions of the UAE.

As Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed meets these promising students, it’s clear that the future of Emirati cuisine is in good hands. Their dedication, creativity, and commitment to their cultural roots will continue to inspire others to pursue careers that celebrate and preserve the traditions of the UAE.
