Bengaluru finally ended their long wait for a league title by winning a close and emotional match against Punjab. They scored 190 runs for the loss of 9 wickets, with Virat Kohli being the top scorer once again. He played a steady knock of 43 runs and helped Bengaluru reach a fighting total on a slow pitch.

Though 190 didn’t seem like a huge total, Bengaluru's bowlers gave their best performance and held Punjab to 184-7, winning the game by just 6 runs. One of the main heroes with the ball was Krunal Pandya, who took important wickets and was named Player of the Match.

After the final ball was bowled, Virat Kohli had tears in his eyes. He had been part of the team since 2008, and the victory meant everything to him.

Kohli said:
"It’s been 18 long years. To finally win this is unbelievable. I never thought this day would come. I got very emotional as soon as we won."

He was seen hugging his old teammate AB de Villiers, showing just how special the moment was.

Bengaluru's captain Rajat Patidar also shared his thoughts. He said, "It’s a proud moment for all of us and especially for Kohli and our fans. They have waited so long for this. Our bowlers were outstanding today."

The match was played at the big and noisy Narendra Modi Stadium. Bengaluru struggled to build big partnerships and couldn’t cross 200 runs. Kohli played carefully, but other players couldn’t finish well. Jitesh Sharma’s 24 off 10 balls and Liam Livingstone’s 25 helped a little.

Punjab bowler Kyle Jamieson took 3 wickets for 48 runs. Arshdeep Singh bowled an amazing last over, taking 3 wickets and giving away just 3 runs.

Punjab started their chase strongly. Opener Prabhsimran Singh got a second chance after being dropped early, but Krunal Pandya soon got him out. Josh Hazlewood, who had bad luck earlier, found joy when Phil Salt caught Priyansh Arya (24) at the boundary.

Romario Shepherd also made up for his earlier mistake by getting Punjab’s captain Shreyas Iyer out. Then, Krunal Pandya removed Josh Inglis (39), one of the biggest threats.

In the final moments, Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled a brilliant over and dismissed both Nehal Wadhera and Marcus Stoinis. That almost confirmed Bengaluru's victory.
Punjab's captain Shreyas Iyer praised his team despite the loss. He said,
"I’m proud of every player. Many of them are playing their first season, and they showed great courage. We’ll come back stronger and try to win the trophy next year."
It was a thrilling match filled with emotions, hard work, and a sweet ending for Bengaluru and their fans.
