His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, visited the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) 2025, which is being held at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi. The event is taking place under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, and will run until February 21, 2025.
During his visit, His Highness Sheikh Khaled toured several national and international pavilions, where he was shown some of the most advanced defence technologies, including new systems, equipment, and solutions in areas like artificial intelligence, digital defence technology, and unmanned systems.
His Highness highlighted the importance of IDEX in promoting innovation, knowledge-sharing, and showcasing the latest developments in defence technology. He also emphasized that this exhibition plays a key role in strengthening the UAE’s global position in the defence and security industries, as well as expanding its strategic partnerships with leading companies in this important sector.

Sheikh Khaled reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to supporting the defence sector, making sure the country remains at the forefront of advanced technologies. He said that by adopting innovative solutions, artificial intelligence, and unmanned systems, the UAE will continue to improve its defence capabilities and ensure the growth of this vital sector.
While visiting the national pavilions, His Highness praised the progress of the local defence industry. He also pointed out the importance of empowering Emirati talent through strategic partnerships and a strong research and development system to keep boosting the UAE’s position as a leader in the industry.
He was accompanied during the visit by His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court, and His Excellency Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
IDEX 2025 is a major global event that focuses on defence and security, with participation from over 65 countries. The event serves as a key platform for high-level discussions where leaders, decision-makers, and experts from around the world gather to showcase the latest defence technologies and explore new opportunities to strengthen cooperation and build partnerships in the defence industry.
