Encouraging the students to embody UAE values as ambassadors, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reiterated the leadership's commitment to supporting young Emiratis in developing their academic prowess and technical skills across various sectors. Launched under His Highness's directives in September 2022, the Khotwa program aims to provide 6,000 Emirati students access to higher education in the US and Canada by 2028. It has expanded its global reach by partnering with esteemed community colleges in Australia and New Zealand, further broadening students' educational horizons.
Currently benefiting 694 participants, with plans to support 1,146 students by September 2024, the fully funded Khotwa program equips its cohorts with skills essential for a global workforce and enriches their educational experiences. At the meeting, attended by current and prospective students alike, participants expressed gratitude for the program's transformative impact on their personal and professional growth. They also commended His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the UAE leadership for their unwavering support in fostering a knowledgeable and skilled Emirati youth, pledging to uphold their roles as proud ambassadors of the UAE on the global stage.
