The second round of the Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2025 has successfully concluded at Al Nasr Club in Dubai. This round featured exciting No-Gi competitions, drawing a large crowd of spectators who witnessed remarkable performances from athletes across different age and weight categories.

Sharjah Self-Defence Sports Club claimed the top position, showcasing exceptional skill and teamwork. Al Ain Jiu-Jitsu Club secured second place, while MOD Academy took third. The event once again proved itself as a key sporting platform, bringing together both experienced athletes and promising new talents from across the UAE.
The championship was attended by several distinguished guests, including His Excellency Sheikh Suhail bin Butti Suhail Al Maktoum, Executive Director of the Sports Development Sector at the General Authority of Sports; His Excellency Yousef Abdullah Al Batran, Board Member of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation; Fareed Al Qaiwani, Executive Director of Al Nasr Sports Games Company; Humaid Hassan Al Shamsi, Chairman of Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club; along with other officials, sponsors, and partners.
His Excellency Yousef Abdullah Al Batran emphasized the importance of the No-Gi competition for young athletes. He explained that these matches help participants improve their technical and physical abilities by requiring them to think quickly and apply their skills precisely. "This championship is more than just a competition; it’s a chance for athletes to build confidence, sharpen their skills, and embrace core values like discipline, commitment, and respect," he said.
Abdullah Al Zaabi, Head of the Events and Activities Section at the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, highlighted how the championship brings families and communities together. "The Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship showcases the positive impact of sports on society," he noted. "It teaches essential values, strengthens social connections, and helps young people understand the mental and physical benefits of practicing jiu-jitsu."
Athletes also shared their excitement and pride about participating in the event. Zayed Al Qubaisi, a blue belt competitor from Baniyas Club, won gold in the 46kg under-18 category. "Winning gold here is the result of months of hard work and dedication with my team," said Zayed. "These competitions are crucial for us as they test our skills against strong opponents and push us to improve."
In the adult category, Rashid Mohammed Al Shehhi from Al Ain Club took home the gold medal in the 56kg division. "Jiu-jitsu is a sport that demands constant self-improvement," said Rashid. "This championship is an excellent platform for athletes to grow and reach new levels. The high level of competition here proves how much the sport has evolved. Success requires not just physical skills, but also smart tactics, discipline, and mental focus."
