Abu Dhabi, UAE, 23rd December 2025 – During the BRIDGE Summit 2025 in Abu Dhabi, iQIYI, China’s leading online entertainment platform, and the UAE’s BRIDGE Alliance announced a major partnership to build a strong media technology ecosystem.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by H.E. Dr. Jamal Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi, Vice Chairman of the BRIDGE Alliance, and Xianghua Yang, President of iQIYI’s Movie & Overseas Business Group. The agreement marks the start of a long-term collaboration between China’s top digital entertainment company and one of the Middle East and North Africa’s most ambitious media initiatives.

The partnership is based on a shared vision to promote innovation, inclusivity, and cultural exchange in the media, content, and entertainment industries. The BRIDGE Alliance aims to connect international media and technology hubs, while iQIYI brings deep expertise in film and TV content, technology research, and digital entertainment business models. Together, they will explore new ways to create and deliver entertainment content globally.

Under this MoU, the two organizations will focus on:

  • Joint development and management of intellectual property (IP)
  • Co-production and global distribution of films and TV shows
  • Use of virtual production and VR technology
  • Research and development in media technology and industry knowledge sharing

H.E. Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Kaabi said:

"We welcome iQIYI as a partner of the BRIDGE Alliance. Their expertise in content and technology makes them the perfect collaborator to help build a globally connected media ecosystem."

Xianghua Yang added:

"This partnership is an important step for iQIYI to expand globally and strengthen ties with the MENA region. We are excited to deliver new entertainment experiences and support the growth of media technology here."

This collaboration aims to create a full-cycle model, from research and development to real-world application, promoting innovation, cultural exchange, and global cooperation in media and entertainment.

The partnership sets a benchmark for how media organizations can work together to build advanced technology, produce creative content, and connect global audiences, reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s role as a leading media and innovation hub.
