The India Art Fair is returning to New Delhi for its 17th edition in February 2026, promising a larger and more diverse showcase than ever before. This year, a record 123 exhibitors will participate, including leading galleries from India and across the world. Some of the international participants include David Zwirner, Galleria Continua, neugerriemschneider, and Carpenters Workshop Gallery.
The fair will run from February 5 to 8 at the NSIC Exhibition Grounds. It will feature 87 galleries, 24 major art institutions, and an extended Design section with 12 design studios and two galleries. This mix of participants highlights the fair’s continued growth and global reach.
Top Indian galleries such as Gallery Espace, Latitude 28, Exhibit 320, DAG, Emami Art, Jhavery Contemporary, Project 88, and Lakeeren Contemporary will display rare and modern works. International galleries, including 1x1 Art Gallery, Aicon Contemporary, Saskia Fernando Gallery, Grosvenor Gallery, Whitestone Gallery, and Danfe Arts, will also present pieces from renowned global artists.
Jaya Asokan, Fair Director, said, “The 17th edition marks a major moment for us. With the largest number of exhibitors and a global lineup, India Art Fair remains the key meeting place for the international art community in South Asia.”
The Design section, returning for the third year, will showcase innovative work from studios such as Ashiesh Shah, Aspura, Chanakya School of Craft, DeMuro Das, Gunjan Gupta, ROOSHADSHROFF, Studio Renn, and Vikram Goyal. A special collaboration between the French Institute and Mumbai-based gallery Æquō will feature French designer Marie Gastini exploring Indian textile techniques in modern design.
The Focus section will present solo artist showcases, including Bharti Kher, Jayasri Burman, Shailesh B R, Ravinder Reddy, Girjesh Kumar Singh, Thandiwe Muriu, and Khadim Ali.
Major outdoor projects and collaborations will include Kulpreet Singh’s site-specific works commissioned by the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art. World-renowned artist Judy Chicago will present “What If Women Ruled the World? Participatory Quilt,” inviting audience participation and discussion.
Serendipity Arts will display “The Charpai Project” by Ayush Kasliwal, featuring a digital AI intervention by artist Goji. Institutions such as the Sabyasachi Art Foundation, MASH, Museum of Art & Photography, The Gujral Foundation, and Birla Academy of Art & Culture will present special exhibitions, including works by emerging artists like Deena Pindoria, Ritika Sharma, Akshay Bhoan, and Mohit Shelare. The Australian High Commission will showcase sculptures by indigenous artist Grace Lillian Lee, while Serendipity Arts will also present an immersive audio-visual installation by Alan Rego.
With its record participation and wide-ranging exhibitions, the 17th India Art Fair promises to be a landmark event, celebrating contemporary art, design, and cross-cultural collaboration in India. It offers art lovers, collectors, and the public a unique opportunity to experience rare artworks, meet artists, and explore creative innovations from India and around the globe.
