Digestive problems like acidity, bloating, and gas are very common today. Many people wake up each morning with a heavy and uncomfortable stomach. They often rely on antacids for quick relief, but these medicines only work for a short time. Now, a Hyderabad-based dermatologist, Dr Pooja Reddy, has suggested a simple drink made from three basic kitchen ingredients that she believes can help ease these problems naturally.
Dr Reddy said that millions of people face the same digestive discomfort every day, and many do not know that an easy solution already exists in their own homes. According to her, this drink is made from ingredients that were always present in traditional Indian kitchens. It takes only a few minutes to prepare and does not require any costly supplements.
She says the drink can help in three major ways. First, it may help reduce acidity. Ajwain, one of the ingredients, contains a natural compound that helps the stomach produce digestive enzymes. This can make digestion smoother and reduce the burning sensation caused by acid reflux.
Second, it may help reduce bloating. Jeera is known to support the production of bile, which helps break down fats. Fennel seeds can soothe the intestine and help release trapped gas. Dr Reddy explained that this combination may provide quick relief from a tight or swollen stomach.
Third, the drink may help improve metabolism. According to her, these three ingredients together can boost the body’s energy-burning process. She also says it supports liver detoxing, reduces harmful bacteria in the gut, and may even improve skin health over time.
To prepare the drink, Dr Reddy suggests using half a teaspoon each of jeera, ajwain, and fennel seeds. These should be boiled in one glass of water for five to ten minutes until the water becomes golden in color. The warm drink should be consumed on an empty stomach in the morning for best results.
She believes that drinking this every day can make a noticeable difference in digestion and overall gut comfort within a few days. Many people struggle with digestive issues because of poor eating habits, long work hours, and stress. This simple remedy, according to her, can be an easy and affordable way to start improving gut health.
However, it is important for readers to remember that these claims were shared on social media. They have not been scientifically proven or checked by medical experts outside of her statement. People with long-term or severe medical issues should consult their doctor before trying new remedies.
Still, the idea of using natural ingredients for daily health is not new in India. Generations have relied on simple home remedies to treat everyday discomforts. Whether this drink becomes widely trusted or not, it reflects a growing interest in natural and low-cost solutions for common health problems.
