Hatta Winter 2024 is bringing exciting sports events to the beautiful Hatta region. Starting on Monday, December 23, the first big event will be a football tournament. This tournament is organized by Hatta Adventures along with the Dubai Sports Council. It will take place near Leem Lake, surrounded by the breathtaking Hatta Mountains, and will run until December 29. The football games promise to be full of energy and excitement, offering something special for both players and fans.

This football tournament is not like others. It has special rules to make the matches fast and fun. There are eight teams in the tournament, divided into two groups. Each team will play three games in the group stage. The best two teams from each group will move to the semi-finals, which will be knock-out matches.

The rules make the games more exciting and unpredictable. For example, players cannot shoot at the goal from their own half or lift the ball. Breaking these rules will result in penalties, like losing the ball or even having a player sit out for a short time. Each game has two halves of 10 minutes with a short break in between. Teams have four active players, including a goalkeeper, and two substitutes. Only one professional player from UAE football clubs is allowed in each team, making the tournament more fair and inclusive.

Hatta Winter 2024 is about more than just football. It aims to make Hatta a popular place for adventure and sports lovers. Organized by Brand Dubai, with the support of the Supreme Committee to Oversee the Development of Hatta, the event is part of Dubai’s vision to make Hatta a top winter destination. It highlights Hatta’s natural beauty and brings families, athletes, and tourists together for fun and active experiences.

The event takes place on a large three-hectare site in the heart of the Hatta Mountains. It offers more than just sports. Visitors can try mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding, enjoying the natural wonders of Hatta while staying active and healthy.

Hatta Winter 2024 is also part of the #DubaiDestinations campaign. This campaign promotes local talent, supports small businesses, and encourages sustainable development. The event includes other festivals as well, such as the Hatta Winter Festival, Hatta Cultural Nights, Hatta Honey Festival, Hatta Agricultural Festival, and Hatta x DSF. These events showcase Hatta as a place where culture, sports, and entertainment come together for all to enjoy.

Visitors can easily travel to Hatta thanks to the support of Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). There are 14 daily bus trips to Hatta and 17 internal buses to take visitors around the event areas. Shuttle buses also connect to attractions like the Hatta Dam.

Hatta Winter 2024 runs from December 13, 2024, to January 22, 2025. With exciting sports events, cultural festivals, and stunning scenery, it offers a perfect winter getaway for everyone. This year’s event builds on past success, making Hatta an even more exciting place to visit and enjoy
