Hatta Winter 2024 is bringing exciting sports events to the beautiful Hatta region. Starting on Monday, December 23, the first big event will be a football tournament. This tournament is organized by Hatta Adventures along with the Dubai Sports Council. It will take place near Leem Lake, surrounded by the breathtaking Hatta Mountains, and will run until December 29. The football games promise to be full of energy and excitement, offering something special for both players and fans.
This football tournament is not like others. It has special rules to make the matches fast and fun. There are eight teams in the tournament, divided into two groups. Each team will play three games in the group stage. The best two teams from each group will move to the semi-finals, which will be knock-out matches.
The rules make the games more exciting and unpredictable. For example, players cannot shoot at the goal from their own half or lift the ball. Breaking these rules will result in penalties, like losing the ball or even having a player sit out for a short time. Each game has two halves of 10 minutes with a short break in between. Teams have four active players, including a goalkeeper, and two substitutes. Only one professional player from UAE football clubs is allowed in each team, making the tournament more fair and inclusive.
