SAR is working with the Saudi-Spanish Railway Project Company, which runs the Haramain train. The number of trips will go up to 3,410 this Ramadan, which is 21% more than last year. Also, the train will have about 1.6 million seats, which is 18% more than before. This will help meet the high number of people traveling during this time.
At the start of Ramadan, there will be 100 trips every day. By the 14th day, the trips will increase to 120 per day. On the busiest days, the train will run 130 trips a day to make sure as many people as possible can travel without trouble.
The Haramain High-Speed Train is one of the fastest trains in the world. It runs at 300 km/h and connects important places like Makkah, Jeddah, King Abdulaziz Airport, King Abdullah Economic City, and Madinah. The train runs on a 453-kilometer railway line and gives pilgrims, Umrah travelers, and tourists a quick and modern way to move between these cities.
With these new changes, SAR is making travel better and easier for people visiting Makkah and Madinah. The extra train trips will help more people travel comfortably during Ramadan. This shows Saudi Arabia’s efforts to improve transport and make sure visitors have a smooth journey.
