Haaland Misses Penalty as Man City Draw 1-1 with Everton

Haaland had a chance to give City their second win in 13 games when he stepped up for a penalty in the 53rd minute. However, Everton's goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford, saved the shot, making it another disappointing result for Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola's team has now lost nine of their last 13 matches in all competitions. The draw means City has only earned five points in the league since the end of October.

City took the lead in the 14th minute when Bernardo Silva's shot deflected off an Everton defender and went into the net. But Everton equalized in the 36th minute with a goal from Iliman Ndiaye.

The draw leaves Manchester City in sixth place, 11 points behind leaders Liverpool, who have played two fewer games. Haaland's goal-scoring troubles continue, as he has scored only one goal in his last seven games. He did head in a rebound after missing the penalty, but the goal was ruled out for offside.

With more dropped points, Manchester City's hopes of winning the Premier League title are fading. Liverpool had the chance to extend their lead when they played Leicester later in the evening.
