Lacina, the second phase of Ghaf Woods, has sold out, according to Majid Al Futtaim, a well-known company in shopping malls, communities, and entertainment across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
Ghaf Woods, Dubai's first forest-style community, was introduced earlier this year. It offers a peaceful living environment with lots of green trees, good connections, and a focus on protecting nature. The project will be built in eight stages and is planned to finish by 2031. It will cover 738,000 square meters near Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Highway, close to Global Village.

The second phase, called Lacina, sold out quickly, showing that many people want quiet and connected places to live in Dubai.
Ahmed El Shamy, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Properties, said, "With Ghaf Woods, we are creating a new way of living in Dubai that connects people with nature. The high demand for Lacina shows that people want communities that focus on the environment and a better lifestyle."
He also said, "This shows that people trust Majid Al Futtaim to create high-quality places to live. We are committed to building communities where nature and a good lifestyle come together."
The new part of the development is designed to improve everyday life by connecting people with nature. It offers a creative living space with special features.
There are three main pavilions in the community: Ripple, Breeze, and Rustle. The Rustle Pavilion has a gym, game room, kids' play areas, and a swimming pool, all designed to encourage an active but calm lifestyle.
The Ripple Pavilion encourages people to socialize, while the Breeze Pavilion provides peaceful areas for quiet moments or fun meals. There are also other features like a bike station, a children’s playground, pet-friendly spaces, and a lawn area.
Majid Al Futtaim said that Ghaf Woods will have 35,000 trees, including the Ghaf tree. These trees will outnumber the residents and act as a “Green Lung,” giving 20% cleaner air and lowering temperatures by five degrees Celsius compared to the average in the city.
Lacina residents will also have access to many community facilities, including sports courts, a park, a skate park, eight kilometers of walking trails, and a 3.5-kilometer mountain bike loop.
This milestone shows Majid Al Futtaim’s commitment to building communities that mix nature, sustainability, and a high quality of life, offering a special place for people to live.
