Dubai-based airline flydubai is set to transform inflight connectivity with the introduction of Starlink, SpaceX’s satellite-based internet service. The agreement, unveiled at the Dubai Airshow 2025, marks a major step toward providing fast, reliable broadband across the airline’s growing fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft.
The rollout will begin in 2026, targeting 100 aircraft initially. Passengers can expect uninterrupted access to streaming, video calls, online gaming, and other high-bandwidth services during flights, raising the standard for onboard internet in the region.
With Starlink, flydubai aims to offer a seamless digital experience that mirrors home internet speeds. The advanced satellite network ensures low latency and high reliability, allowing passengers and crew to stay connected and productive. Installation times are designed to be quick, minimizing aircraft downtime.
The new service aligns with flydubai’s broader strategy of leveraging technology to enhance the travel experience. By providing high-speed inflight Wi-Fi, the airline strengthens its position in a competitive aviation market where connectivity is increasingly a key differentiator for both leisure and business travelers.
With more than 100 destinations in flydubai’s network, the Starlink partnership positions the airline to meet growing passenger expectations for continuous, high-quality internet service while reinforcing Dubai’s reputation as a hub of innovation and modern aviation.
